The Nicest Actors in Hollywood: Top 5

The Nicest Guys in Hollywood Top 5Hollywood is a world filled with glitz and glamour, and it’s sometimes very easy to forget that the people we see on our cinema screens are, at their very core, just normal people. Sure, they’ve got mansions and private jets and wads and wads of cash, but before the fame, they were just like you or I.

It’s all the more surprising then that we’re constantly bombarded with stories of misdemeanours from some of the most famous people in Hollywood. Whether it’s a demanding personality or cruelty to their fans, we’re never that far away from a Hollywood bad guy. With that in mind, I’m flipping that on its head and looking at the nicest celebrities in Hollywood. But who has made the cut of our list of nicest celebs? Read on to find out.

5) Robin Williams

Robin Williams

Ah, Robin Williams, your untimely death still leaves a sour taste in the mouth. It was only on New Year’s Day that I was sat watching Mrs. Doubtfire with a tear in my eye, wondering how on Earth we managed to lose such a talent so soon.

Some of Williams’ nicest moments came to light after his death, including calling up Steven Spielberg during the filming of Schindler’s List in order to cheer him up and travelling to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain troops. Robin Williams was truly one of the nicest people in Hollywood and it’s all the more saddening that his presence will never be seen on screen again. It’s obvious then, that Robin was one of the nicest actors in Hollywood.

4) Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks

Once dubbed the ‘nicest guy in Hollywood’, Tom Hanks just seems like an all-round awesome guy. Since 2013, Hanks has been using his Twitter account to reunite New York City’s lost gloves with their owners – bizarre but strangely addictive to watch.

In a more famous move, he gave a couple a $25 refund after they stated that they hated his 2011 movie, Larry Crowne. The story goes that he got into conversation with the couple at a California petrol station near his home with them telling him they thought the film wasn’t very good. Harsh, but true.

3) Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman

This Australian actor is very different from the metal-clawed superhero he portrays in the X-Men films. Rarely found without his charismatic smile, Hugh Jackman has risen to become one of the nicest people in the celebrity world and is always ready and willing to pose with fans for photographs.

His Oscar-hosting duties went down very well indeed and he’s always willing to poke fun at himself and have a laugh during his numerous appearances on chat shows across the world. Graham Norton recently confessed to Jackman being one of his favourite guests to have on his British talk show. We love you Hugh.

2) Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston

We’ll forgive Tom Hiddleston for his foray into the nightmare realm that is Taylor Swift, although being sucked into that mess really wasn’t entirely his fault. Tom is just an all-round nice guy, despite portraying the trickster, Loki, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Away from his Marvel persona however, Hiddleston is well-known for standing with fans for hours as he signs autographs and chats to those who essentially, keep his career ticking over. He rarely puts a foot wrong. Back in his early days, a reporter on Twitter asked him to bring a thermos of soup to his next red carpet event because it was freezing. Sure enough, a thermos of soup was delivered. What a great guy. If there was an award for kindest celebrities, Hiddleston would definitely be on the shortlist.

1) Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling

Despite his fairly shy and retiring persona, Hollywood superstar, Ryan Gosling, has proven himself time and time again to be an absolute stand-up guy. From stopping a woman from being hit by a taxi in the centre of New York, to breaking up a vicious street fight, he sounds like the sort of chap you’d like as your best friend.

The Canadian actor who has starred in huge blockbusters like Blade Runner 2049 and La La Land is also a huge supporter of animal rights, (aren’t we all?), and absolutely adores his dog, George. Anyone who loves dogs has got our seal of approval.

Honourable Mentions

Chris Pratt – Often seen visiting hospitals dressed as Peter Quill, aka Star Lord, to see ill and dying children must be difficult for man of the moment Chris Pratt, but he does it anyway, just to cheer people up.

Tom Hardy – Not only is he one of the best Hollywood actors, he’s also a dog lover. Seen on Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs, Tom Hardy is another shy and retiring Hollywood actor that absolutely adores animals. He’s even read numerous stories on the CBeebies channel.

We’ll be taking a look at the nicest actresses in Hollywood next week, but in the meantime, check out our other brilliant Top 5 articles. Who is your favourite actor? Leave a comment in the box below, I read and reply to every single one.
