The 80s. An era of big hair, big shoulders, and big movies. This decade produced many of the classics we know and love today: The Goonies, Footloose and Die Hard, just to name a few. However, one of the most famous movies of the time is also my bête noire.

Movie posters are big business nowadays. It’s no longer acceptable to mash a load of characters onto a print and slap a big title at the bottom. You have to get creative, and while some films are certainly guilty of falling into the slapdash approach, film posters have become works of art in their own right.
