Oscar Nominations: 2018

Oscars 2018The nominations for the 2018 Oscars have been revealed and there are some notable absentees from the list. Steven Spielberg is missing from the Best Director nod for his work on The Post, which given its favourable reviews and incredible performances, is a little surprising.

Michelle Williams was also missing in action from the Lead Actress category for her performance in Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World. Perhaps less surprising is the omission of James Franco in the Lead Actor category. The stars’ recent sexual harassment allegations clearly tainting his frankly, excellent work in The Disaster Artist.

Exclusive: Interview with director Scott Elliot

Scott Elliot

Scott Elliot

Chasing their dreams comes at a cost, but one meeting could change their lives.

To celebrate the release of Scott and Sid, I spoke to co-creator Scott Elliot about what it has taken to bring his dreams to reality and to discuss Scott and Sid: The Filmmakers’ App that offers users an affordable, self-study approach to filmmaking, with 1000s of videos on what’s needed to finance, produce and successfully release a film.
