Operation Finale review “A momentous event that’s dressed up to the nines”

Operation Finale movie posterHistoric movies are a hard medium to perfect. With the serious subject matter, the need to be sensitive to those who may have lived through it and to also get across just how momentous this event was, takes a lot of doing. Netflix has recently brought out Operation Finale – movie based on the apprehension of Adolf Eichmann. But did this movie do this event justice?

Operation Finale follows Peter (Oscar Isaac) and a group of Israeli secret agents as they travel to Argentina to capture Adolf Eichmann (Ben Kingsley), the mastermind behind the Nazi’s Final Solution. Continue reading

“A new classic” The Jungle Book review

There’s an old saying; “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, and that was the kind of reaction many people had towards Disney’s live-action remake of The Jungle Book.

Helmed by Iron Man director, Jon Favreau, it certainly garnered a mixed response come its first trailer release late last year. But what is the finished product like? And are we looking at a new classic? Continue reading
